End of September

I can not believe that there are only a few more days left to September. I just do not know where all the time has gone. In fact, today is Isaac's last soccer game and it seems like he just started. Tonight Ronnie also has his last softball game and next week he has his last flag football game. It will be different not having to remember who has a game and what time it is. I will have a little break until the spring anyway. Then it should be fun as Avery will be old enough to play soccer if he wants to. Now the only thing I have to remember is that starting next week every Monday and Wednesday at 6 Isaac has an archery class that he is participating in. He really wants to do this so it will be interesting to see how he does. Hopefully he has much better aim then his mom!

October should be a fun month around here. I love the fall. The colors of the leaves and the cool weather are what I like about this time of year. We would like to take the boys to the pumpkin patch here again this year but I have to find out when they have it. The second weekend of October is Gypsy Day's here so the boys will enjoy going to the parade. I also enjoy this but my favorite parts are the marching bands. That weekend Ronnie's mother is coming up from Denver so that will be really nice. I don't think she will be here in time for the parade though as she is coming up that Saturday and then leaving on Tuesday. We will have to see when her flight plan is finalized.

Not much going on today. Just trying to catch up on some laundry and then I am going to give the younger two a haircut. Write more later.

Been a really long time!

It sure has been a long time since I have blogged. Since then I have turned a year older and am now only one year away from the big 30. Isaac has also started kindergarten, Avery has started speech and Isaac has also started softball.

The week after my birthday we took the boys to the Brown County Fair here in Aberdeen. They really enjoyed the rides. To the left is a picture of the boys on the car ride. Isaac was a great big brother and let his two little brothers sit up front so they could pretend that they were driving.

On August 24th Isaac started kindergarten and he was so excited to go. He really seems to enjoy school. He also likes going to the boys and girls club after school. The bus from there picks him up and he goes there until Ronnie and I get off of work. He has a lot of friends there and the staff really seems to like him. He has also started soccer and has only four games left. He seems to be picking the game up a lot better and seems to score at least once every game. He obviously gets his athletic ability from his father as I am not very athletic or coordinated.

Avery has also started up on speech classes again this year. As of now he is going to speech on Tuesday and Thursday. The bus picks him up to take him there and then Ronnie picks him up and takes him to daycare. Not sure how long this will be as Ronnie will no longer have a job after October since his company is closing. Guess we will have to see when the time comes. Until then he really does seem to enjoy going. We let him get a backpack so that he can put his stuff in there and that really seems to work well.

I have also been working a lot lately. One of the ladies is still out because of her broken hand. I am just trying to enjoy a day off today. My last day off was Thursday of last week. I am just exhausted. I have been really tired lately and 4 am comes really quickly when I have to be up and get to work by 5. It has been pretty busy at work too so that could be why I am so tired.

Today I am just going to try to catch up on laundry. Mason had an appointment early this morning after we dropped Isaac off at school and Ronnie at work. After his appointment we then went to stop at my Pfeiffer grandparents house for a little while. Later today Ronnie has a friend coming up from Minnesota and he will be staying with us for the weekend. Hopefully all goes well. Will try to post real soon.

August Already!

Once again it has been a long time since I have blogged and I apologize. I am not very good at this.

July had been a busy month with work and then I actually made a trip up to Eureka to my grandpa Earl's birthday party. It was nice to see my family that I have not seen in a long time. At the end of July my mom had a birthday so we had them in for supper and the boys enjoyed playing games with grandma and grandpa.

Now August has come and is almost half way gone. I have been working a lot as one of the ladies I work with broke her arm so she is unable to work. Most days it is not so bad but it has been kind of busy and lately my back and my legs have really started to hurt.

Last weekend Ronnie had the state men's softball tournament in Huron, SD. He had left Friday night with some of his teammates. I was not sure if the boys and I were going to go or not. Saturday morning came and they won their first two games so we decided to venture to Huron. I had only been there once in my life and that was a long time ago. Amazingly enough we made it there, I am very bad at giving and taking directions. Ronnie met us at the Taco John's parking lot and then we met up with one of my friends and former co-workers who just moved back to Huron. She let us stay there that night with her and her family. Her name is Lynne and her and Randy took Ronnie and I out to eat and surprised us by paying for the whole thing. We then stopped at Dairy Queen and I picked up an ice cream cake to celebrate Randy's, Mason's and my upcoming birthdays. Everybody had a good time and my kids enjoyed playing with Lynne's six kids. In fact they did not want to leave!

Yesterday we celebrated Mason's 2nd birthday. It is hard to believe that my little baby is already 2! Both Ronnie and I had to work but I made some cookies on Wednesday night so that they could take them to daycare and have a little party there. All in all it was a pretty good day. Today I actually have a day off of work. Four in fact because Sunday is my birthday and then I work a stretch of 6 days in a row. I am not looking forward to that. Then, on the 24th of August Isaac starts school. Actually, that day Ronnie and I have to go and Isaac will start on the 25th. We also were able to sign him up for the Boys and Girls Club here in Aberdeen and on their Kare Bus. So, after school Isaac will ride the Kare Bus to the Boys and Girls Club and be able to play with friends and do homework there until Ronnie or I am able to pick him up after work. He is excited. I am a mixture of excited, scared, and a little sad that he is this old already. I will have to take pictures of him on his first day of school and I promise to post them.

Also, if any of you are on facebook I have lots of pictures of the boys and my family there for all to see. Take care and I will try to blog more often.

Thursday

Everything here is going pretty well. I have today off as I work tomorrow and the whole weekend. After I get off of work on Saturday the plan is to go to my sister Darby's house to celebrate the 4th. We usually do this every year and the kids just love getting together and watching the fireworks. I just will not be able to stay out too late as I work at 6 on Sunday also.

The kids are enjoying the nice weather. They helped me mow the lawn once again on Tuesday and it will probably need to get done again soon. We are thinking of setting their pool back up. We had it up once this year when it had gotten hot but as soon as we had it set up that is when we had all those days of rain so we took it down. Hopefully that does not happen again.

At the moment we are just finishing up lunch and then we will probably lay down for a nap as I have been awfully tired and my side still really hurts. Mason and Avery also have a bit of a runny nose so I made sure they took their vitamins today and they just need to make sure they get some rest.

Will write more later and just in case it is not before the 4th I hope that everyone has a happy and a safe fourth of July.

Thankful

I meant to write yesterday but I was not feeling very well. I ended up missing work as my side and my head were just hurting. What I wanted to write about is how Ronnie and I are very thankful and have said many prayers of thanks since Saturday.

On Saturday afternoon we decided to take the kids outside for a quick walk on the bike path by our house. They had wanted to go for a walk and we figured before it started to rain we could go for a quick walk to enjoy the outdoors and to help the kids burn off some energy. Isaac and Avery drove their bikes while I pushed Mason in his stroller. We felt a few sprinkles as we started on the bike path but it was not bad at all. We got passed the softball fields and then were by the little dog park when Avery had fallen on his bike. As Ronnie helped Avery up it started to rain hard so we decided to turn around. As we were on the way back to the house the wind also picked up. Ronnie was trying to yell at Isaac and Avery to slow down as they were pretty far ahead of us and we were afraid that they were going to fall because of how slick the path was becoming and how fast they were going, especially Isaac. They finally heard somehow over the strong winds that had come up. Ronnie and I had been doing a really fast walk to try and catch up. For some reason we had pretty much stopped when they did. At that very moment a tree fell and landed a about 3 to 4 inches behind Isaac's bike and landed right in front of Avery's bike. It was literally touching his tire. Avery also managed to be in the only place where there were no branches on the tree. I had seen the whole thing happen and it seemed to happen in slow motion. Ronnie had not seen it start to fall and this was good as he probably would have yelled for them to move and since I was in shock I did not yell for them to move. If we had they would have moved and been hit by the tree. They would probably not be here right now if that had happened. Ronnie took off running towards them and had to tell me about 3 times to cut through the field of grass to get back to the house. I was in shock I what had just happened and also torn between not going to help my babies. Ronnie got to Avery and sent him towards me but I think Avery was panicked as he started to run the wrong way. I was yelling for him and he ran quite a ways yelling for me before he stopped and started crying. I was finally able to get his attention as I could not just leave Mason by himself. I had left the stroller a little ways and yelled at Avery and then he came running towards me.

When we got in the house at home we checked the boys over. Avery had cotton from the tree in his hair but was fine. Isaac was okay too. He had not seen what happened as his back was to the tree. We said many prayers that day and continue too. The storm passed very quickly and Ronnie went back and took a picture of the tree. That is when he told me how lucky Avery had been and that he had been in the only place where there had been no branches. He also said that the tree had not been dead, the live trunk just snapped. There had been no lightening that hit that tree either. I was still in shock. Hard to believe that we could have lost one if not two of our children just like that! I am very thankful that I believe in God and have said even more prayers of thanks since Saturday. I am just glad that everything has turned out okay.

I will write more later but I have to get some laundry done and the house cleaned. Did not get a whole lot done yesterday as I was feeling bad.

Been A Long Time

It has been a long time since I have blogged. Since the last time I have blogged my husband Ronnie has turned 30. His mom came up the week of his birthday and got to spend some time with the boys. Then on Saturday, May 30th, the day after Ronnie's birthday, I threw a surprise party for him. He was totally surprised which I was happy about. I had been planning it for about 2 months and was sure that if I didn't blow it someone else might. It is hard to keep a secret from my husband. Anway, everyone had a great time and Ronnie enjoyed himself so it was worth the stress I had in planning it.

June has come and has almost gone. I had been having some problems getting onto the site to blog and then when I finally fixed it we had a big storm here and the cable and internet was out for almost a week. I have been working a lot just like Ronnie has and the boys just do not seem to quit growing. They are getting so tall already! On August 24th it is hard to believe that Isaac will be starting school. It seems like he was just a baby. And speaking of babies, my littlest one Mason will be 2 years old on the 13th of August.

I will try to write more later. Am tired as it has been a very busy week already, following a busy week last week. Five in the morning to be at work just seemed a lot earlier today then normal. Glad I have tomorrow off but will be busy as Avery and Mason have an appointment with the pulmonologist tomorrow. Isaac is at a softball game watching his dad play and the other two are getting ready to head to bed. Will try to post some pictures as I just gave them all haircuts on Sunday. Hope to keep up better with the blog.

Great Weekend

Things here have been going really good. Since I have posted last we have kept fairly busy. Both Ronnie and I worked Thursday and Friday. Friday when we got off of work and picked up the boys we thought that we would do our family night. We let the boys pick what they wanted to eat and then we watched a movie together. We try to do something like this every week and Friday night just works really well especially if I don't work the next morning. After the movie the kids went to bed.

Saturday morning started early as both Isaac and Avery thought it was time to get up at 6 in the morning! They do not even want to get up that early during the week. Ronnie took Isaac to his soccer game at 1 and the two younger boys stayed at home with me since it was pretty cold out. The boys actually took a little nap that afternoon but I am not surprised since they got up early. While they were napping we got ready to go out to celebrate one of our friend's 30th birthdays. Ronnie's friend Crystal watched the boys and they were all excited to go over there. They were asking about it as soon as they woke up. They really like to play with her three daughters. Ronnie and I then enjoyed a nice evening out together. We do not get to do that too often so we enjoy it when we can.

Sunday brought some nice weather. I had Ronnie help me get the lawnmower started since I have so much trouble with it all the time. I then mowed the back yard while Ronnie helped my parents move in a new couch. They took our old one out and gave us a newer one. I didn't realize how large the back yard is and how out of shape I was. I am feeling it today. Ronnie then took Isaac and Avery out fishing since it was free fishing weekend here in South Dakota. They did not catch anything but had a good time. When they finally got back we headed out to my parents farm. The boys really wanted to see their aunt Kylie and their aunt Raine. They also were looking forward to seeing the ducks and the horses.

The boys all enjoyed feeding the ducks but unfortunately I was not able to take pictures since the battery in our camera was dead. Kylie did so we will have to see how they turn out. The boys then got to sit on Mercy, aunt Raine's horse. Mason was all brave until we got up to the horses and then he wanted to go back to Ronnie. Isaac and Avery rode the horse and really liked it. We then enjoyed a wonderful meal prepared by my mother and sisters. We brought an ice cream pizza from Dairy Queen for dessert. It was nice spending some time with the family.

When Avery woke up this morning the first thing he wanted to do was go out and feed the ducks again. He actually liked that more then riding the horse. He liked the dogs too. He thought at one point that one of the mother dogs was fighting with her baby but they were only playing. Avery just got back from speech so I will have to go and get him. Will try to write more later. Have laundry to do, and a lot of it. Then Bailey might be coming over today. This is the kids last week of school too so they are all excited. Will have to find some activity for them all to do. Will write more later.

Another Day Off

I do so enjoy my days off during the middle of the week. I occasionally get more then one but that is only when I work the weekend. But, I enjoy my weekend off even more because then Ronnie is able to spend time with the boys and myself. And I guess I can not say that it is a totally free day off as I already have swept and mopped the floors and done a few loads of laundry.

Right now Avery and Mason are playing with their blocks and building towers. They do love to do this and have gotten a lot better at playing together. They don't fight nearly as much as they used too. Isaac is at school and his teacher comes today at one for an end of the year review to let us know how Isaac has been doing. His last day of Headstart is the 21st of May. Avery's last speech session is May 18th and then they will both have no school and be on summer break. Isaac was a little disappointed when we told him that he will not be going to school for now. He can't wait until September though when he gets to start kindergarten.

Last night he had a soccer game and he did really well. He went after the ball and had a great time. It was really windy but that did not seem to bother any of the kids. Luckily his game was over before the thunderstorm decided to roll in. He only has a few soccer games left too before the spring season is over. He will then have to wait until fall to play again. Ronnie and I might try to get Isaac and Avery in swimming lessons this summer. We just have to check out what days they are on and if we are able to work it out with our schedules.

Other then that do not have any big plans for right now. Will write more later.

Another Monday

Today is a beautiful day outside. I am so glad that I once again have Monday off. Starting in June though I will have to go back to working Monday's as Avery will be out of speech for the summer. He does enjoy going but I think he will be happy in the fall when he gets to start Headstart and go to school like Isaac did.

After Avery came home from speech today I took him and Mason to the doctor as they have had a runny noses and cough for over two weeks already. With all of Avery's health issues like his asthma, eczema and allergies I hate to wait to long to take him in. He had been hospitalized in Feb. for pneumonia. He had viral pneumonia which he was getting over and then caught bacterial pneumonia which made him really sick and he ended up in the hospital for three days. Today the doctor said that both of the boys' lungs sound good and that it is their allergies that is causing all the drainage and coughing. I was glad to hear that. While we were there Avery had his blood drawn to test for lead as this is a requirement before he can go to school. He did so good. He laid still and did not even cry when he had his blood drawn. I was so proud of him.

Yesterday I was very proud of my family too. Since I had to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday I did not get to spend too much time with them. At work yesterday they all called me and wished me Happy Mother's Day as I had to be at work by 6 am and they were still sleeping then. After I got off of work they showed me the picture they had posed for. It was beautiful. Ronnie had gotten the three boys all dressed up and took their picture and then wrote Happy Mother's Day over it and printed it out. I was then able to take a nap with Mason for a little while as I was exhausted from work and when I woke up Ronnie had made supper. It is great to have such a wonderful husband and kids. I do not know what I would do without Ronnie as he helps so much in more ways then he even realizes.

Tonight, Ronnie has football practice at the park at 7 and we are going to walk there. The kids will be able to play on the equipment there with the other children while the men practice. Then tomorrow Isaac has another soccer game. He had one Saturday but I missed it since I was working. Ronnie was able to take him and his brothers so that was nice.

Right now though the boys are getting ready to take their afternoon nap so that they do not get too exhausted and run down. I think I might try to join them as there is a load of laundry that I just put in the dryer and one in the washer so there is actually no laundry to put away at the moment. I do so enjoy taking an afternoon nap with the boys, even if Isaac says that he hates to take naps. Will try to write again soon.

Another Beautiful Wednesday

Once again it has been awhile since I wrote. Tuesday was a very busy day at work. When I got home I saw that Ronnie had put the training wheels on the big bike for Avery when he had gotten off of work. Since it was such a beautiful day and Avery wanted to drive his "new" bike we decided to go for a walk. The two older boys drove their bikes and Mason got a ride in the stroller. We went really far, farther then we have gone before on a walk and at quite a brisk pace too. Needless to say, that night they were all tired and slept very well.

Yesterday after I got off of work I had to get things ready for last night. I picked the kids up from daycare and as I was getting them ready some lady backed into the car. I was upset but at least it still rand. Isaac then had soccer practice at 6. I dropped him off then picked up Ronnie from work. I then dropped Ronnie off at home and he got ready for his softball games. I then went and picked up Isaac. We got home and I fed the kids and then we went over to Ronnie's games.

Today I have off of work because I work the weekend. I hope it is a nice weekend as the last few have been really bad. Now, I am getting the boys ready as Isaac has a game at 7 tonight. I have not decided if only myself or just Ronnie is going to go or if we are going to all go. Sometimes the younger two do not like to sit that long at the game.

Another Monday

I can not believe that it has been a whole week since I have blogged. We have been fairly busy here and I have just not gotten on the computer that much. Last week was not that bad a week. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at work were not so bad. Then Thurday night Ronnie took Isaac to his soccer game and I took the other two boys with me to go grocery shopping and to pick up the snacks for Isaac's game on Saturday. Friday was horrible at work, not sure why the last two Friday's have been so busy but they have been. Then Friday night Ronnie had his softball games that got rained out on Wednesday night. The boys and I went to his second game. The boys had fun but we all got kind of cold as it cooled down really fast. I was glad that Ronnie had the 7 and 8 o'clock games instead of the 9 and 10 o'clock games.

Saturday Isaac had a soccer game. I thought his game was supposed to be at one. I apparently did not look at the schedule for the right Saturday as his game was at 12. We arrived at 12:45 to see his teammates shaking hands because the game had just ended. I felt really bad. One of the mothers of the other teammates came up to me and I told her what happened. We all had a good laugh. She then asked if it would be okay if Isaac came with her because she was inviting the team over to her house so that the kids could play since it was such a beautiful day. We asked Isaac and he said he wanted to go so he went with his teammates. Later we found out that she took the five kids to McDonalds which they all enjoyed. They then went to her house and had fun playing in the backyard. They also made cupcakes and Isaac was dropped off at the house about 4:45. We all thought he would be tired but Isaac and his brothers went to the backyard to play. One of the kids that lives in the apartment building behind our house then came over and played with the boys for a few hours. Needless to say, Saturday night all the kids went to bed easily and they actually slept in til 9 on Sunday morning.

Sunday brought another beautiful day. We played in the backyard for quite awhile. The boys and I then walked to the park that is by the house and Ronnie joined us awhile later after he was done cleaning out the vehicle. We were at the park for quite awhile. The boys played really nice with the other children that showed up after we got there. After awhile they got thirsty so we headed home. Both Isaac and Avery drove their bikes there so they were pretty tired. We then ran a few errands. When we got home the boys helped Ronnie get the grill ready because we had all decided that we should grill since it was such a beautiful day. Ronnie made some great chicken breasts and we had corn on the cob and some potato salad. I then put some brownies in the oven and when they came out we all enjoyed warm brownies with ice cream.

We had a good laugh at Isaac on Sunday as well. He has really become very good at driving his bike without training wheels. As Ronnie was grilling he called his mom to see how she was doing. When Isaac got to talk to her Ronnie had run in to the house to tell me something. We both happened to glance out the front window and we broke out laughing. Isaac came driving past on his bike and was talking on the phone at the same time! He wanted to talk to grandma but he did not want to stop riding bike. So, he decided to combine the two. Ronnie got a picture of it so when I get a chance I will have to post it.

Today I have off as I work this weekend and this is the day that Avery has speech. It is kind of windy here today but still pretty nice out. Think we might walk to the park again today and let the kids play. I will just have to remember sunblock. I did not yesterday and I did burn a little bit. By now you would think that I would remember sunblock. Will try to post again later.

It's Been Awhile

Well, it has been awhile since I have last written anything. We had a busy few days here and I have not been on the computer or the internet that much.

Thursday Ronnie had softball practice and then one of our friends came over and watched the boys for a little while so that we could go look at getting a different vehicle. The fuel pump in our Blazer went out. It has served us well and I hate to get rid of it but it has over 300,000 miles on it. After we looked at a few vehicles we came home and ended up talking to our friend until midnight! This was not such a good idea since we both had to work on Friday.

Friday started out kind of bad as we slept through the alarm and had to hurry and get everybody ready. We all made it to work, daycare and school on time though. My day at work was horrible! It was very, very busy and the morning person had called in sick so I was the only one to go to the floors and draw the patients. Nobody else thought that they should help me and I barely got a break in. I was so happy when work was over with. We then ran out to the mall and I had to get myself a new phone because the arrows and the 9 key did not work on my old one. It has been like this for awhile but Ronnie said that is not very safe or smart because if something would happen I could not even dial 911 for help. It took forever at the store as there were only two people working, a lot of customers, and one of the employees working was very, very slow. We were there for over an hour. Some nice lady let me go before her because we had the kids and I thanked her profusely. I was just glad we came when we did as there were even more people behind us. We were all happy to get home that night.

On Saturday I had to get up early to work at the Red Cross Health Fair that was being held at Northern State University. One of my coworkers named Ann picked me up at 7 am. The Health Fair went really well. I was at the head of the first table so I drew a lot of people. It was just a great experience and I met a lot of really nice people. In fact the lady who let me go before her the night before was there and I got to thank her once again for letting me go before her. It is amazing how something as small as that can make such a difference. You do not meet to many kind people that would have done that and I thanked her many times on Friday night and was glad that I got to thank her again on Saturday. That small act of kindness meant a lot.

That afternoon after I got done with the Health Fair we went to Isaac's first soccer game of the year. He did pretty well. He does not like to get in the big group when they are all kicking at the ball. He prefers to play defense and wait for the ball to come out of the group of people before he kicks at it. He does a great job cheering for his teammates and for this I am very proud of him. He is so unselfish most of the time. He would rather let the other children have the ball and be cheering for them.

Saturday night after the kids went to bed Ronnie and I watched a movie together and it was just nice to spend a little quiet time together. I was really surprised that I did not fall asleep during the movie as I have a tendency to do that. My foot probably hurt to much because I smacked my toe really hard against the corner of the wall. Heard something crack but looks like nothing is broken or anything. Just still a little tender sometimes.

On Sunday it was pretty dreary and wet here. The boys were disappointed as they wanted to play outside. We cleaned the house and spent the day building with their blocks and playing with their toys.

This morning Isaac had school again and Avery went to speech. They were both so excited to go. If the weather stays nice they will get to go outside later to play. Isaac is still working on riding his bike. Hopefully the weather stays nice all week as Ronnie has a softball game on Wednesday night and Isaac has another soccer game on Thursday and Saturday. But, Avery will be home any minute so I better finish this up. Hope that everyone has a good day today.

Beautiful Day Today

I have not written in a few days. Just kind of adjusting to the nice weather we are getting and to going back to a regular schedule again. On Sunday it was kind of windy but the boys wanted to play outside. I included a picture of them playing on Sunday. Isaac is busy trying to learn how to drive his bike without training wheels. He learned last year but did not get much practice in before the snow came. He has been doing really well, especially since he is trying to ride the bike in grass.
Monday brought another windy day but the temperature was not too bad that day either. Monday I had off from work so I got to spend the day at home with the boys. Isaac had preschool in the morning and Avery had his speech session that he had to go to. They both get on their buses so well. They sure do grow up fast. Before I know it all three of the boys will be old enough to go to school. Right now I have to enjoy them while they are young and enjoy the time I have alone with Mason, even though it is only about 40 minutes that Avery is gone.

Monday afternoon when my dad got off of work he
stopped by the house after he got off of work. He stopped to help fix a problem that we were having with the outlets in the boys bedroom. They were not working but my dad and Ronnie figured it out. While Ronnie had to run and get another outlet to help fix the problem my dad and the boys played in the backyard for awhile. Isaac loved the fact that grandpa threw the football with him. I think my dad enjoyed it just as much as Isaac. Since there are four girls in my family and no boys he did not get to throw the football to us as none of us were much interested in that type of thing. I took a few pictures of them enjoying some outdoor time. Later after my dad had gone home and we had supper we took a walk along the bike path by our house. The boys had some bread they wanted to feed to the ducks in the creek by the path but since it was kind of late and cool outside we did not see any ducks to feed. We all enjoyed the family time together though.

Tuesday I had to work at 5 am. The day was not so bad at work but I was happy to get off and get the boys from daycare. It was a beautiful day out and for once there was not a lot of wind. I made supper for us and when Ronnie got home and we all ate we then ventured out to Wylie Park.
We brought the bread along that we had as there is a little Zoo in Storybook Land at the park. We walked to the pond where the ducks and geese were located with three excited boys. Avery was the most excited. I have to admit, I was a little excited too. I love animals and since we live in town we do not get to see too many. When we got to the pond there were a few geese standing by the fence. The boys got really excited when all the other geese realized we had food for them and swam across the pond to get their share too. All three boys got in on the action but I made sure to remind them to keep their hands away from the fence and just throw the bread over the top or through it so that they would not get their little fingers bitten. The bread lasted for quite awhile but when it ran out it was getting cool and we headed home. The boys said that they would like to do it again so the next time we get some extra bread we will have to do that.

Today I have off of work also and do not have a whole lot planned. Laundry like usual needs to be done but other then that I would like to take the boys to the park by our house since it is supposed to be in the upper 70's today. Right now Isaac is at preschool and later he has soccer practice. He has his first game this Saturday so I will try to take pictures and will have to let everyone know how he did. He is very excited. That is all for now but will maybe post some more later.

Monday already!

Well, it is hard to believe that it is Monday already. My husband and I had a great anniversary on Saturday and want to thank everyone that remembered. My sister Kylie came in to watch the boys and they had a good time playing with their aunt. In fact, they did not want her to go. While she watched them Ronnie and I went out and had a nice, romantic dinner. We very seldom get out without the kids so it was very different just having the two of us and not have to worry about everyone sitting nice, or having to fill their drink, or take them to the bathroom or cut their food. I suppose I could have cut Ronnie's food for him but I figured that he could handle it himself. :)

Saturday did not bring too much excitement here but we did more laundry and just kind of spent the day together. Sunday we were a little busier as Ronnie had softball practice. The two older boys went with him and they all came home tired. We then all played in the backyard for awhile and Isaac was trying once again to master driving his bike w
ithout training wheels. He does pretty good but still falls down. Unfortunately he has inherited my patience, or should I say impatience, and wanted to give up right away. Ronnie got him coaxed into trying again and he seems to be getting the hang of it.

I have today off yet but have to work tomorrow. Hopefully it will be a good week at work. Wednesday I plan on going out with a couple of my friends just to catch up for an hour at 5:30. We all have kids and have to work early the next day but decided we needed to set aside some time so that we can strengthen our bond of friendship. Then this Saturday I will have to get up really early as I have to work at the health fair at Northern State University. Isaac also has his first soccer game that day but luckily it is not until one so I will be able to meet him and the rest of the family at the field. He is really excited about his first ga
me this year. I will have to include pictures.

Friday Morning at last!

Well, it is Friday at last. That is a great feeling. So far we do not have a lot planned but Isaac did have school this morning as a make up day. He was excited to go. I think he was even more excited that it is a beautiful morning out and he just found out that he has soccer practice tonight. He can not wait until his first game. I am excited for him to. These last five years have taught me a lot about myself and what I am capable of as well as what others are. I never knew that a child, or children, could bring so much out of a person. I get more excited for their accomplishments then I ever remember getting over mine. It is a joy to watch them learn new things and just grow up. Last fall when Isaac played soccer I was so very proud of how he got along with his teammates and his great sportsmanship. I was never athletic but it was amazing to see Isaac out there just having a good time. The toughest thing for me right now is that I want my children to grow up but at the same time it is hard to see them grow up and not be my little babies anymore. It's also hard because I know of all the dangers out there and I want to protect them as much as I can for as long as I can. I am sure this is how most parents feel and I will just do the best that I can.

I will post more later if I get a chance. Will have to see if we can get some pictures of Isaac at his practice. Also, not sure if I will be posting this weekend as tomorrow Ronnie and I will be celebrating our wedding anniversary. No big plans but just want to be able to spend the day together as a family.

Thursday already!

Well, I can not believe that it is Thursday already but I am very happy that it is. I did not get a chance to blog yesterday but that is because I had to work at 5 am and it was a busy day. It was crazy at work and I was so happy when it was quiting time. I was hoping that the weather was gonna be nice as I was planning on taking the kids to the park. Unfortunately it was raining so when we got the boys they had to play inside while I made supper and there was no park. We all went to bed kind of early after watching a movie together as Ronnie and I were very tired from working and Isaac had school today.

Today brought dreary weather again. It is so hard to get motivated when the weather is like this but I did get some more laundry done. It does seem like no matter how much laundry I do that the pile never gets any smaller. Not sure how that happens. After Isaac got back from school they had lunch and then we got ready to go to his doctor's appointment. He was pretty excited to go until the moment of truth arrived and he had to get his
shots. He ended up getting four of them, one in each arm and leg. He cried a little but he sat very still and I was very, very proud of him. Now my problem is I have no idea what I want to make for supper. I had better decide soon as I already have some hungry boys here and will be having a hungry husband arriving home in a couple hours.

I did send out an e-mail today of pictures that we took at Easter and of Isaac's birthday. I do love to take pictures and enjoy looking at pictures as well. I am just excited that I know how to transfer them from the camera to the computer without messing anything up! I am not very computer literate. I will try to post a picture of my fa
mily here but if it does not work I am sorry. Will try to write more later, if not tonight tomorrow for sure.

Busy at the LIgon House

Been a few days since I posted. A busy past few days here. Friday I had the day off to spend with my family and we got a lot of cleaning done around the house and were enjoying the beautiful weather that we were having. Later that day I gave the boys another shave even though they just had one a month ago because there hair is growing so fast. All was going well until it was Mason's turn. I forgot that when we did his hair last time that I had an attachment on. I ended up giving him a patch on the right side of his head. He was even sitting nice so I can not blame it on him. All my fault. Luckily hair will grow back and hopefully it will grow back fairly quickly!

Saturday I had to get up to go to work and be there by 6 am. I was disappointed that I had to work since Saturday was Isaac's 5th birthday and it was Easter weekend. It was a fairly busy day at work but I was happy to be home. When I got home Isaac was so proud to show me the gifts and cards that he had received in the mail for his birthday. He then showed me the cake that he picked out. It had two race cars on it. (The boys just love cars.) After that he asked me if I could make him pancakes. I did and was glad that he wanted something that I could make from scratch that did not take a lot of time as all the boys, including Ronnie, were hungry. After the pancake eating we got the kitchen ready to color some eggs. The boys were all excited and very helpful in getting the colors ready for the eggs. I will include some pictures of this at a later date. They all were doing really good until Mason decided he wanted to hold the glass with his egg in and then proceeded to spill the egg dye on the table, himself and the floor. After the mess was cleaned up we finished with the eggs and we were all proud of the wonderful job that the boys had done. The eggs looked so beautiful. We then got Isaac's cake ready and sang Happy Birthday to him. He was so excited. After the cake eating they all needed a bath and by the time they were done with that we were all tired and headed to bed.

Sunday morning brought a beautiful Easter day and a very busy day at work. When I was done with work I came home to my family and we got ready to eat over at my Pfeiffer grandparents apartment complex. We all got dressed up and we even took a family picture which I will post later too. We don't get to many of these as I am the one that is usually taking all the pictures. I really do love to take pictures. We then went over to enjoy an Easter meal and were very happy to see so many family members there. With everyone being busy with their own families now and work, etc. it is very hard to get so many people together. I just wish that I got so see my dad's side of the family more but we do not travel very often with work, the kids, and not a lot of money. When we do travel it is usually to Minnesota to see Ronnie's side of the family and that does not happen often enough either. Anyway, Easter was a wonderful day and we all came home stuffed and tired. The two older boys camped out in our living room and fell asleep to a movie as the rest of us went to bed.

This morning I am just trying to catch up on some laundry and spending some time with the boys. I have to get ready for work soon too. It is my third day straight of work and I have two more before I have a few days off to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my family. I work an evening tonight and early the next few days so not sure when I will get to blog again. Hope things go smoothly for the rest of the month as March was a stressful month and I would prefer not to have to repeat it.

Short post

Just a short post for now but yesterday did not continue to be a good day. At work it was just crazy. I got chewed out from a co-worker because she was having a bad day and then it just got worse from there. The ER was swamped and two of the machines were down. Not a good time! I ended up staying late but left at 11. They could probably have used me longer but I was just too tired to stay any later and they were doing better. Was happy when I got home and got to spend time with my family. I did not stay up to late but the homemade shortcake that Ronnie had made was a nice snack before I went to bed. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband.

Isaac's School Open House

Today started out as a pretty good day. All three boys got up nicely even though we were all tired. They did better then me! I worked evengings last night and am not used to this shift. They all ate their breakfast quickly and got ready to go. I dropped Avery and Mason off at daycare and they were excited, at least Avery was, because they were gonna be dying easter eggs. Isaac and I then got ready and went to May Overby Elementary School for his open house appointment at 8:30.

When we got there, on time by the way, Isaac was so excited to go into the school. He proudly told them his whole name when they asked him who he was and got a sticker with his name on it. The session was very informative. Just hard for me to believe that Isaac will be old enough to start kindergarten in August. When it was time to go Isaac told us he had a good time and had made some friends. He also liked the fact that they got a little bag of goldfish to snack on and a fish magnet that they can hang on the fridge at home. I then dropped him off at Headstart and headed home to wait for him to come home so that I could take him to daycare and then go to work myself.
Hope that work goes as well for me today as it did last night. I was not too busy but was very happy when ten o'clock rolled around and I got to go home. At least I have tomorrow off but then I have a long stretch to work. Unfortunately I have to work on Isaac's birthday. I guess that is where I was five years ago but at least this time I am making money and should not be in nearly as much pain. We are not sure exactly what we are going to do for his birthday but will have to figure it out fairly quickly.

That is all for today. Hopefully my next post might be a little more interesting. Will have to post some pictures soon of the family.

First Blog Post Ever!

Hello to anybody who decides to read this. I have never blogged before but thought that I would give it a try as a way to express my feelings and share the goings on of my life and that of my family. This first blog will not be too long and hopefully as I get the hang of this they will get better.

Just a little about my family. My husband's name is Ronnie and we will be celebrating our wedding anniversay next Saturday, the 18th of April. Not sure what we are gonna do yet but it does not matter as long as we are together. Our oldest son's name is Isaac Luther and he will be celebrating his 5th birthday this Saturday, April 11th. Unfortunately I work but we plan to take him out for a special birthday dinner. Our second son's name is Avery Lucas and he is 3 years old. His birthday is November 19th. Our youngest son's name is Mason Lavell and he is almost 20 months old. His birthday is August 13th.

Things will be getting busy at our house once again as Isaac starts soccer again and had his first meeting last night. He will be playing on the team named "Giraffes" and he is very excited for his first practice and upcoming games. Also, Isaac has a school meeting tomorrow as he will be starting kindergarten next year. He is very excited but will not be too happy next week when I take him in to get his kindergarten shots! Right now he is in preschool and Avery will be starting preschool in the fall when Isaac starts kindergarten. That will just leave me and Mason home by ourselves on the mornings I do not work. Not sure how that is going to go, it will be too quiet. Ronnie will be starting his mens softball league games soon and I am yet undecided if I am going to play in co-ed softball this fall again. More on that later.

Anyway, I better get going. Have to start getting the two younger ones ready to go to daycare and get myself ready for work as I work evenings again tonight. If anyone reading this has anything they want to know about me just ask and I will try to respond.
